Since 2012, Runaway Workshop has been making masks and parts that are affordable, durable, and full of character. From full commissions to blank bases, everything I make is designed to help you jump straight into creativity and adventure - whether you’re a performer, a LARPer, a parent of a wild, imaginative child, or just someone who wants to play.
Over the years, Runaway Workshop has grown from a garage setup producing custom fursuits, into a full-time studio supplying costume departments on Broadway, the West End and more. But the heart of it hasn’t changed—I still get the most joy from creating characters that people can bring to life. I believe wearing a costume can open up new worlds, letting you step into a character in a way that feels freer and wilder than almost anything else, so, with this in mind every piece is crafted with care and attention to detail, ready to run, fight, or perform the moment you put it on.

Who am I?
I am Adele Waldrom, and as well as being the sole artist and operator behind Runaway workshop, I get up to all kinds of shenanegans, usually at festivals dressed as a wild-boar or a psycadellic space goat.
I have qualifications in Design tech, Illustration, traditional craft, and also ecology/conservation. I love Nature and art, so naturally my full time business merges the two.
