Custom Fursuit head base (Flexible print) 3D model Design and print service
Custom Fursuit head base (Flexible print) 3D model Design and print service
If you can't find the design you're looking for, or you have an unusual project in mind, I offer a headbase design and print service to create your own, unique headbase.
There is no minimum order for this service, the price is for the designing and printing of one base. If you would like multiple bases of the same design printing, please message me for discounted pricing.
Materials:
Bases will be printed in Flexible material which is just as durable as foam bases, but slightly firmer, so will also work with jaw hinges for a more sensitive moving jaw effect.
I can print in more solid materials for you if you would like, please message me for this option.
Design:
For complicated designs that require a reference, please message me before ordering to make sure that it's possible to create the model for you.
You don't need a reference if you would just like me to make a recreation of a certain species in my base style that can be easily described, (i.e an otter, or kemono owl)
The design will be made in my style (see other bases on my website for examples), I can also make them more exaggerated or with expression if your project calls for it, but please note, I will not recreate another makers style.
I will send pictures of the model for confirmation or revision before printing the final model.
Sizing:
Bases are designed and printed to my standard base size (25x 25cm wide at the back) however I can print up to 40x 40cm if needed. So if you would like a mini base printing, or an extra-large base, please message me for pricing.
Times:
The standard size base can take up to 3 days to print, however the design process may take over a week depending on complexity of the model and the number of revisions required. Overall, please give at least 2- 3 weeks for the creation of a base before shipping.
How to build a fursuit head with a pre-made base (Getting ready to fur)
In this Video I will be demonstrating how I build my heads using the parts available in my store.
This version is more how I would build suits I intend to wear for myself as the head in the video is for a cosplay. For professional suits, I have a different process that requires more duct taping and copydex adhesive... however I didn't have any copydex left during the making of this video. Anyway, hopefully this will answer some questions:
- How do I line the base?
- How do I attach it to a balaclava? (Sort of answers it, but that's the footage I lost) 6:52 (Can also be seen in "how to make a moving jaw" tutorial)
- What do I do if I don't want a moving jaw? 7:21
- How do I fit eyes to the base? 8:33
- How do I build the back of the head? 9:57
- How do I attach ears? 14:22
- How easy is it to modify? 23:49
